Terms of service

Last updated: August 6, 2026 (effective date)

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Learnidia ("Learnidia", "we", "us"). They govern your use of learnidia.com, our applications and all related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Learnidia.

Learnidia is not yet incorporated. Company details and the governing law and jurisdiction for these Terms will be added here once incorporation is complete. Until then, mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply to you.

2. What Learnidia is

Learnidia is an AI-powered English learning academy. It provides AI teachers and lessons, courses, life-scenario practice, games, speaking and pronunciation practice, writing feedback, vocabulary review, exam preparation material, progress reports and a weekly newsletter.

3. Accounts and eligibility

Learnidia has three account types:

  • Child (7-12): created and owned by a parent or legal guardian. The child signs in with a profile card and a secret picture sequence — never an email address.
  • Teen (13-17): the teen holds their own account. Depending on local law, parental permission may be required and is the responsibility of the account holder and their guardian.
  • Adult (18+): a standard individual account.

You agree to give accurate information when signing up, to keep your credentials confidential, and to tell us promptly at customercare@learnidia.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Parent and guardian responsibilities

A parent or guardian who creates a child profile confirms that they have authority to do so and gives consent for the child to use AI learning features. Parents can review the child's activity, safety events, memories and recordings, manage the secret-picture login, and withdraw consent or delete the profile at any time from the parent dashboard. Parents remain responsible for supervising their child's device use.

5. Account security

Learnidia supports passwords, passkeys (biometric sign-in on supported devices) and, for children, a picture-sequence login with lockout after repeated failed attempts. Do not share accounts or credentials. Accounts are for a single learner; family plans provide separate child profiles instead of shared logins.

6. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Some features require a paid plan. Prices and inclusions are shown on our pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until cancelled, and payment is taken by our payment provider at the start of each period. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Paid plans are currently available on a limited basis while we complete launch. Where paid plans are not yet enabled, all listed premium features may be unavailable or free.

7. Acceptable use

You must use Learnidia lawfully and respectfully. Prohibited behaviour is set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create or upload — writing, recordings, notes, avatars and documents. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate the Services for you (for example, to give AI feedback, generate reports or show your progress). You confirm that you have the right to upload the content and that it is appropriate for a platform used by children.

9. Our content

Learnidia's lessons, courses, games, characters, AI teacher personas, branding, software and generated lesson material are owned by Learnidia or its licensors. You may use them for your own learning. You may not copy, resell, scrape or redistribute them.

10. AI output

AI-generated explanations, corrections, scores and reports are learning aids and may contain errors. They are not professional, academic, legal, medical or financial advice, and they are not an official assessment of your level. See our AI Disclaimer.

11. Exam preparation

Our IELTS, OET and PTE preparation material is independently produced practice content. Learnidia is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by the organisations that own those examinations, and practice scores are indicative only.

12. Availability and changes

We are actively developing Learnidia and may add, change or remove features. We aim for reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned and unplanned downtime, maintenance and third-party outages may occur.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required by law or to protect other users — in particular child users. You may close your account at any time from account settings or by contacting us.

14. Disclaimers and liability

The Services are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or loss of opportunity. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence. Where liability is limited, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, and our Cookie Policy explains cookie use.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. When changes are material we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Learnidia after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
