This policy explains the terms, boundaries and regulatory status of Learnidia worldwide. It does not certify regional educational accreditation or regulatory licensing, or replace applicable mandatory local law.
1. Operator and base of operations
Learnidia is an online English language learning platform operated by ASM Professional Services from the Netherlands. Learnidia operates as an independent European digital educational service.

2. Worldwide access and territorial reach
Learnidia is accessible globally via the open web, subject to internet availability and applicable export or statutory restrictions.
- Our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and this policy apply wherever the service is accessed, subject always to mandatory local consumer and data protection laws.
- No local licensing implied: worldwide accessibility does not mean Learnidia holds local educational licences, ministry approvals or registered school status in every territory from which it can be reached.
- Where local legislation imposes unique requirements, learners and guardians should confirm whether supplementary online study complies with their local regulations. This does not remove any legal obligations of the operator.
3. Applicable law and mandatory consumer protections
- Contractual agreements between subscribers and ASM Professional Services are governed by Dutch law to the extent permitted by law.
- This choice of law does not deprive consumers or learners of mandatory statutory rights, protections or non-waivable remedies available under the laws of their habitual place of residence, including EU consumer rights, UK consumer law and regional statutory protections.
- Nothing in this policy restricts access to competent regulatory bodies or consumer courts where required by law.
4. Educational and examination disclaimer
Supplementary resource: Learnidia is a self-directed supplementary learning and exam preparation academy. It is not an accredited primary, secondary or tertiary school, nor does it replace compulsory formal education or qualified classroom instruction.
Independent exam preparation: Learnidia provides practice questions, study tests and structured revision. It is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by official examination bodies. Examination names and trademarks belong to their respective owners:
- IELTS — the British Council, IDP IELTS and Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
- TOEFL — Educational Testing Service (ETS).
- OET — Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment.
- PTE Academic — Pearson.
Completing lessons or scoring well on Learnidia study material does not guarantee a specific examination score, official certificate, visa grant or university admission. Official examination results and certificates must be obtained through the relevant examination provider and its authorised testing arrangements. Learnidia completion certificates are not official exam qualifications.
British curriculum alignment: Learnidia is not an official UK examination board, such as Edexcel, Cambridge Assessment, AQA or OCR, and does not confer formal school qualifications.
5. Age eligibility and safeguarding
Learnidia offers three learner pathways:
- Independent Learner (Ages 18+): British curriculum English by school year — Years 7–13 and beyond, from Key Stage 3 through GCSE / IGCSE and A-Level to advanced university English.
- Aspiring Learner (Ages 18+): A complete, flexible English pathway for everyday life, work and confidence — no school year or grade required.
- Professional (Ages 18+): Exam preparation that follows the real test format — IELTS, OET, PTE, TOEFL and Business English — with Public Speaking.
Learnidia is for adults aged 18 and over. Every learner confirms they are 18 or older when signing up; no parental consent is collected because under-18s cannot register. Accounts are individual learner accounts.

6. AI tutors and automated marking transparency
- AI learning guides: character tutors such as Emma, James, Sarah, Oliver and Sophia are simulated AI tutors and educational guides, not living teachers or human tutors.
- Backend-only technology: automated language models and algorithms help prepare learning material and evaluate written or spoken exercises, estimate proficiency and provide diagnostic feedback. Learners do not interact with an open-ended, unscripted chat engine.
- Marking limitations: automated evaluation may misinterpret nuance, local dialect or background audio. Scoring is diagnostic study guidance, not an infallible or certified academic assessment.

7. Speech recognition and non-clinical disclaimer
Voice exercises, spoken drills and pronunciation feedback support British English learning. They are educational aids, not clinical speech-language therapy, audiology evaluations or medical diagnostics. They must not be relied upon to detect or treat speech impairments, hearing conditions, dyslexia or cognitive disorders.
8. Trial terms, pricing and subscription billing
- 3-day free trial: one trial per email address, without entering card details. During the entire three-day trial, Café Life Scenario and Classroom conversation are playable for five minutes each in total; other games and scenarios remain locked.
- Direct subscriptions: paid plans start immediately, without additional free days. Paid subscribers can play all Life Scenarios, Games Hub games and Mind Games without the trial time limits.
EUR is the single source of truth for subscription prices, with local currency equivalents displayed and charged where supported. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- 1 month: €5, per month, one person.
- 3 months: €12, every 3 months, one person.
- 6 months: €22, every 6 months, one person.
- 12 months: €40, per year, one person.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the billing period through account billing. Prices and available plans are shown on the pricing page. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
